Reflection
The infographic for using the C.O.P.S. method (capitalization, organization, punctuation, and sentence structure) was my way of trying to create an eye-catching and easy-to-use checklist for students proofreading their work. Prior to this I had an anchor chart posted that covered similar information but wasn’t nearly as comprehensive. Unfortunately, it never caught on quite the way I wanted it to because I didn’t have any way to present it unless students were using their Chromebooks and could pull it up online. I think if I had a decent printer that could have printed it out in color and large enough to be posted on a wall for students to see it would have been more effective. Still, I think I used the elements of design well, and it’s still a decent tool.
I’m incredibly proud of my study skills course. That is almost entirely my work despite it being a group project, so it was stressful to complete, but I think it came out great. I used good design, had high levels of interactivity, and followed best practices for designing online learning. I love how it turned out!
